Sonu Nigam Threatens To Expose T-Series Head Bhushan Kumar, Shares New Video Attacking ‘Music Mafia’

A few days ago when many Bollywood actors were raising their voices against the ‘movie mafia’, Sonu Nigam uploaded a video talking about the ‘music mafia’ and how it is more dangerous and toxic than the former. He spoke about how only 2 music companies are running a monopoly and have the power to crush anybody’s career whenever they wish.

Now, after a week, Sonu Nigam has again uploaded a video where he made fresh allegations against the ‘music mafia’. He alleged that they have influenced the new-age artists to refute his earlier claims. He also addressed T-Series head Bhushan Kumar directly and warned him against messing with him.

Sonu Nigam started the video by saying, “Laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante, hai na? Sharaafat ki bhasha sabko samajh mein nahi aati.”

He then said how he respectfully and lovingly tried to make the music industry understand that they need to be more kind and empathetic towards artists and how he didn’t take any names in his address. However, the ‘music mafia’ is up in arms against him.

“Maine kisi ka naam nahi liya. Maine bohot pyaar se kaha tha ki bhai, nayi logon ke saath pyaar se rahe, kindness dikhaye. Suicide ho jane ke baad rone se accha pehle mahaul ko thoda rectify kare. Lekin mafia hai. Mafia toh chaal chalega. Usko toh aadat hai.”

Sonu Nigam then alleged that the ‘music mafia’ asked 6 artists to give an interview against him, denying any such claim that they aren’t being treated well by the industry.

“Unhone 6 maha geniuses ko bola ki mere khilaaf interview de. Maine naam nahi liya tha kisika bhi lekin mera naam liya ja raha hai abhi. Aur press-releases bheji jaa rahi hai.”

He said how the 6 artists who are now speaking against him are the very same people who took a stand against the music industry’s ills a few years back.

“Abhi jo yeh 6 maha geniuses hai unmein se kuch toh aise hai jo pichle kayi saal se yahi baat karte aa rahe hain mere saath (about music mafia). Ab unko alag bolna padh raha hai.”

He went on to pop up a screenshot of singer Armaan Malik’s tweet from 1.5 years ago where he talks about the lack of unity in the music industry and how artists are denied the opportunity of working on the kind of music they want. Sonu said how Armaan Malik’s brother, Amaal Mallik, went on record to speak against him.

“Unmein se ek ka bhai hai jo apni Twitter pe aaj se 1.5 years pehle yeh likhta hai ki agar music industry mein unity hoti toh pura scene hi alag hota kyuki aaj industry ke saare musicians tortured hai, unhe woh nahi karne diya ja raha jo woh karna chahte hai – yeh uski (Armaan Malik) language hai.”

Sonu then slammed media articles that contained statements of the 6 artists against him and alleged that they have copy-pasted their press-releases word-by-word. He also slammed the journalists who wrote put the article together and said that it isn’t their job to pass a verdict saying that his claims against the music industry are “null and void”.

He then directly addressed Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series, reminding him of the time when he saved him from the gangster Abu Salem who once terrorised the film industry.

“Bhushan Kumar, ab toh tera naam lena hi padega mujhe. Tune galat aadmi se panga le liya hai, samjha? Tu bhul gaya hai woh time jab tu mere ghar pe aake bolta tha ‘Bhai mera album kar do’, ‘Bhai Deewana kar do’, ‘Bhai Abu Salem se bacha do’. Yaad hai ki nahi?”
