Photo editing softwares are both a boon and a bane. While they let us tweak our images for lighting, sharpness, and brightness, they can also be used for unethical morphing and duplicating.
According to The Times of India, actress Sonam Bajwa recently alleged that some Instagram handles had created fake conversations and shared them using her name.
DNA India quoted her saying, “So these are some of those accounts who created fake Insta chats of me. I am not sure if they find it cool or funny to do this to others or there is a different agenda behind it, but this is so sad to know that some people hide behind such accounts just to do all of this and make a living out of it.”
She added,
“And their lives are full of lies and Hatred. Rabb tuhanu changi matt deve te dusareyan di izaat karna sikhave (May God give you good wisdom so you learn how to respect women). I would request you all to Report such accounts even if they are doing this to anyone else. #CyberBullyingShouldStop”
If this is true, we hope that the people behind the fake chats are punished for their cybercrimes.
