Some parents give their heart, soul and so much more in bringing up their kids and making them independent and good adults. And it’s only during our growing years do we realize that they are moving mountains just for us.
Hence, some kids make it their goal to give their parents all that they have sacrificed to provide them with the life they have today.
This young man, Dattatray J, who now works as a blockchain developer in Singapore also had the vision to bring his mother to Singapore and make her see the world beyond their village in India. So, he worked for it and today, he finally could fly her mom to the place he now calls home.
In a LinkedIn post, the emotional and overjoyed son penned how he felt overwhelmed by fulfilling his dream.
Sharing pictures of him standing next to his mom, dressed in a saree, in front of his office, he wrote:
“Yesterday I could get my mom here in Singapore to show her this beautiful part of the world, and right today I have decided to take her to show my office & city area. It’s hard to express the emotions and happiness that she is feeling through.”
Dattatray went on to share that before this trip, his mother didn’t even see an airplane up close. She was also the second woman in her village, after Dattatray’s wife, to have traveled abroad.
“Imagine, the lady that has spent her whole life in the village and did not even see the airplane from a close angle. Yes, she became the first one from her generation to travel abroad and the second lady from my village (Of course first one is my wife). A pretty special moment for me and my family.”
The emotional guy wished his father was also around to experience this. He concluded his post by urging people to make sure they show their parents the world.
“The only thing that hurts me is – wish my dad would have been around to experience this! I really urge people who are traveling/traveling to show the other beautiful part of the world to their parents, irrespective of the period they are traveling for. Trust me, their happiness can not be measured. I planned to bring my mom even before my travel to Singapore, this was there in my goal even before I traveled.”

A lot of people were touched by his sweet gesture toward his mother. While some gave him a thumbs up, others shared similar stories.
This is definitely the most wonderful feeling Dattatray would have felt in his entire life. He could sleep so peacefully at night knowing that he was making his mother happy and proud.
