Someone Photoshopped Smriti Mandhana’s Pic With Make-Up & Fair Skin, Twitter Condemns The Act

Many edit pictures using photo editing apps and plenty of filters before posting them on social media. While some do it to fix the lighting, others make themselves appear flawless and banish that rare pimple. But a debate on colorism in the country has brought us to recognize the perturbing fact that some of us still feel the pressure to look fair as a society apparently deems ‘fair’ as ‘beautiful’.
Recently, we have heard Bollywood actress and Pataudi princess Sara Ali Khan making comments on having fair or dark skin that has offended many.

A recent photoshopped picture of the Indian cricket player, Smriti Mandhana has got people questioning the ‘beauty standards’ once again. The picture that surfaces on googling Smriti Mandhana’s name show her with a lighter skin tone, lipstick, and kohl on, reports India Today.

A Twitter user shared the photoshopped image alongside the original picture and shared how disgusted she was to see this.
