Television actress turned politician, Smriti Irani, had posted a picture with her daughter Zoish on her official Instagram account yesterday. Though the picture was a very normal selfie of a mother and her child, Zoish was bullied by her classmates for how she looked in the particular post.
Following the trolling, Irani had deleted her post yesterday only to come back with a hard-hitting and appropriate reply.
Taking to Instagram once again, Irani posted a picture of her daughter and paired it with a wonderful note. Taking the name of Zoish’s classmate who made fun of her and asked the others to do so, the 43-year-old mom mentioned that she had to delete the picture because he daughter pleaded her to do so. However, she has realized that by removing the picture she is encouraging the bullies to continue their shameful practice.
Irani went onto list down her daughter’s accomplishments and mentioned that she is a fighter. She also challenged the bullies to continue to pull her daughter down but Zoish Irani will never give up. Ending the powerful note, Irani expressed her pride in being Zoish’s mother.
I deleted my daughter’s selfie yesterday coz an idiot bully in her class ,A Jha ,mocks her for her looks & tells his pals in class to humiliate her for how she looks in her mother’s insta post. My child pleaded with me ‘ Ma please delete it, they are making fun of me’. I obliged coz I could not stand her tears. Then I realised my act just supported the bully . So Mr Jha , my daughter is an accomplished sports person, record holder in Limca Books, 2 Nd Dan black belt in Karate, at the World Championships has been awarded bronze medal twice; is a loving daughter and yes damn beautiful. Bully her all you want , she will fight back. She is Zoish Irani and I’m proud to be her Mom ❤️
Now, that’s a champion mother shutting down some bullies in style. Hats off to Smriti Irani.
