From ‘Jannat’ To ‘Rockstar’, People Online Name ‘Shitty Movies’ Which Have Bomb Songs

When last year ‘Kabir Singh’ was receiving immense flak for celebrating toxic masculinity, I couldn’t help but listen to all its songs on loop. Because no matter how the film was, the music album was excellent!

Accept it – we have all come across films which were disappointing but the songs were fireballs! And people on the internet are talking about exactly that. It started when one user asked people to name a “shitty movie” which has a “fire album” and they obliged. Have a look:

‘Bekhayali’ and ‘Kaise Hua’ bruh! The entire album is bomb!

A.R. Rahman’s music in Imtiaz Ali’s films is hands-down brilliant.

Like I said above. Rahman + Imtiaz = Pure Love!

Umm, who else danced the entire year to ‘Tareefan’?

I say this all the time. ‘Fitoor’ is an underrated album. Amit Trivedi is an underrated composer.

Entire 2010 was spent listening to ‘Dil Kyun Yeh Mera’ and crying.

Songs from ‘Roy’ were FANTASTIC! ‘Tu Hain Ki Nahi’, ‘Yaare Re’, and ‘Boond Boond’ need more credit.

‘Zaalima’, ‘Mere Naam Tu’, ‘Hawayein’, and please can I mention songs from ‘Dilwale’?

The songs and the CINEMATOGRAPHY! It’s a shame that the movie didn’t do well.

Also, ‘Criminal’ > ‘Chammak Challo’.

‘Tum Mile’ was beautiful! I mean, have we forgotten the about the title track, ‘Dil Ibadat’, and ‘Haan Tu Hain’?

All the anjaanas say yeah yeah yeah!

‘Kala Chashma’ and ‘Nachde Ne Saare’ were performed in every single sangeet ceremony back in 2016. Prove me wrong.

A.R. Rahman again! ‘Rehna Tu’ is still a favourite.

‘Tum Hi Ho’ is the ultimate breakup song and will remain so for generations to come.

Obviously! Any song that can beat ‘Tum Hi Ho’ is ‘Channa Mereya’!

Teenage me tripping over a heartbreak: Dil sambhal ja zaraaaaaaaaa!

Have you even heard ‘Uska Hi Bahana’ from ‘1920: Evil Returns’? It is epic!

THE ENTIRE ALBUM!

…I would also like to mention that I absolutely loved ‘Kalank’ as a film and nothing can change my mind.

The title track should be everyone’s get-back-to-the-game song after a heartbreak.

Have you forgotten how catchy ‘Disco Deewane’ was?

Emraan Hashmi movies might not be a hit but the songs are always super hits!

Songs like ‘Zara Si Dil Mein De Jagah Tu’, ‘Buleya’, ‘Kabira’, ‘Ilahi’, etc. still dominate my playlist and I don’t think I can ever get over them, ever.

Can you think of more to add to the list? Tell us!
