They say, “Imitation is the best form of flattery” and the same could not be truer for the eloquent Shashi Tharoor, who has time and again floored netizens with his amazing vocabulary. So much that apart from making memes about his vocabulary, people have started imitating his style, mostly without any success.
There have been numerous times when people have tried to pull a Tharoor only to fall flat on their faces. It doesn’t help that the man himself does not spare them from his epic burns.
Something similar happened to Twitter user Anushree Arun, who received a unique Whatsapp message from a wanna-be Tharoor. The message went something like this,
If you couldn’t understand what the person meant, don’t worry about being dumb, the message just didn’t make any sense.
An exasperated Anushree then took to Twitter to share her frustration about people who just don’t understand that Shashi Tharoor’s words actually make sense.
If you ask me, she’s absolutely right. Shashi Tharoor definitely weaves magic with his words and they are not a mere amalgamation of randomly chosen synonyms. What do you know? Twitter agrees with me!
1. Exactly!
Another word salad balderdash!
Dr Tharoor is an inimitable word-crafter.— INCian (@INCTharoorian) December 27, 2017

4. That’s blasphemy!
He's right. This has grammar & spelling errors, & @ShashiTharoor would NEVER make those 🙂

5. It isn’t!
so this is how u are wished! Lol! enjoy!! is tharoor's style a meaningless use of alien vocabulary in a compound sentences?

But the fiasco didn’t end there! Shashi Tharoor himself replied to the tweet and it’s an epic burn for the people who mindlessly imitate him, or at least try to.
Precisely. Read any of my 16 books to know my style. This is incomprehensible gibberish. https://t.co/stZSVx8h1P

Guess the people who want to be him, need a little more knowledge than just a dusty copy of the Thesaurus. Until then, please apply some aloe to the burn.
