Shashi Tharoor is a politician, if you’re not aware. Shashi Tharoor is also Twitter’s favourite English Professor, if you’re living under a rock. But if you’re a firm believer and taker of ‘meme of the day’ (just like yours truly), then I can bet my life that you are aware of the oratorical, lexicon-like prowess of the living legend that is Shashi Tharoor.
A man of few but supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (no, I did not make up that word up) words, the MP from Kerala has almost never been held for his words (apart for the times he has) and it’s impressive (read pura tangent gaya) to say the least!
In fact, just recently, after words like ‘farrago‘ and ‘webakoof‘, Tharoor decided to drop another English lesson when he came out clean about why he uses the words he does. But while at it, he gave Twitter another ‘word of the day’- rodomontade!
To all the well-meaning folks who send me parodies of my supposed speaking/writing style: The purpose of speaking or writing is to communicate w/ precision. I choose my words because they are the best ones for the idea i want to convey, not the most obscure or rodomontade ones!

Naturally, every handle, every timeline was basking in the new-found knowledge and jokes erupted like nobody’s business.
But just when we thought that we’re done with the dose, a rather hilarious memeactivity has been reported and it’d be a shame if you missed it.
ICYMI, Amul in its bid to put out the best topical whim, took a dig at Shashi Tharoor, suggesting something (let’s admit) we all need! Here’s what they posted.
#Amul Topical: MP's fondness for tweeting big words like 'Rodomontade'! pic.twitter.com/26HlzjTM4U

But guess what, Mr. Tharoor’s intentions are anything but akin. Output? Classic composure with a tinge of humour, what else!
Butterly honoured. But I feel like a Tharoorosaurus Rex, an ancient creature soon to be extinct, snuffed out in a cloud of incomprehension…. https://t.co/2VnkHlla1c
