A few days ago, the trailer for the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ dropped and it got the internet talking. They are still talking. After all, the film has been one of the most anticipated ones for years now. However, amid the hype for Brahmastra, the talk around Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ somewhat got buried.
Even Yash Raj Films seems to have been slacking on Shamshera. They took months to release an official poster and even a teaser, considering the fact that the film is set to release towards the end of July. If it would have been any other film, marketing campaigns and promotional interviews would have been in full swing by now. But not Shamshera, and we wonder why because it seems like it’s a hidden gem.
I say this because YRF dropped the official teaser of the film (finally) and boy, does it look AMAZING! It is a visual spectacle. Have a look:
A lot of people online, across Twitter and Reddit, seemed to think that the Shamshera teaser itself was way better than Brahmastra trailer and hoped for YRF to market the film properly because it deserves to be treated with the utmost respect.
I thought Brahmastra would be a game changer, but the Shamshera teaser just gave me another kinda goosebumps. I can’t even explain.

I'm suddenly more optimistic about shamshera than brahmastra and that's saying something! I can't believe he was hiding thisss

#Shamshera is 100x better than Brahmastra. YRF not marketing it properly is a crime

Okay, after watching the teaser of #shamshera I'm more hyped for it rather than #Brahmastra .
Great job @yrf and @karanmalhotra21— Debashis Mondal (@debashism205) June 22, 2022

The fact that promising Hindi films are hushed and literal garbage grabs headlines sets my soul on fire.
