Old Video Of SRK Goes Viral Where He Talks About Why He Won’t Go & Work At Hollywood

A few days ago, Telugu actor Mahesh Babu stirred controversy after he said that Bollywood cannot afford him and insinuated that trying to make a place for himself there would be a waste of time. While some people, like Kangana Ranaut, agreed with his statement, others slammed him for his alleged arrogance.

Amidst all this, an old video of Shahrukh Khan has gone viral. In the video, SRK is asked whether he has plans of working in Hollywood and he replies with his usual charming humility. According to Hindustan Times, the video is over 14 years old and was from an international media event.

Without hesitation, Shahrukh Khan says, “My English not good,” and this makes the entire room burst out in laughter.

But what he said next is a testament to his humble nature.

“If they give me a role of a dumb person who doesn’t speak, maybe. I am not trying to be modest but I am 42 years old, I am little brown, I don’t have any special USP as an actor. I don’t know Kung fu, I don’t dance the Latin salsa, I am not tall enough. I think anyone who is my age in the western world, I have seen recent films of Europe, films of what you call ‘the dream factory’, I think there is no space for me. There is no place for me because I don’t think I am that talented. So I would like to continue doing work in India and hopefully I take Indian cinema to the world, that’s the ambition I have”
