Shaheen Bhatt Shares Screenshots, Calls Out People Flooding Her With Hate Online

Social media has given us a window to put our opinions out in the public, stay connected with a huge number of people and do a lot more with just a click. But it has also given people the power to sneak in someone’s direct messages and spew hatred and vent out their anger. Shaheen Bhatt, a writer and daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, recently became the victim of this vicious practice.

Shaheen was recently bombarded with hate comments on social media, reported Hindustan Times.

Taking to Instagram, Shaheen shared screenshots of the hateful comments she received on her social media.

Addressing her harassers she says how she will be reporting them for sending her messages ‘full of hate’.

She even posted a message for Instagram and urged them to have a zero-tolerance policy for ‘misogynistic slurs’ like these.

I think people really need to understand how to show dissent on the internet and express their disagreement to something in a healthy and respectable manner. Kudos to Shaheen for reporting these people and sending them the message LOUD and CLEAR that this kind of behaviour won’t be tolerated.
