With the pre-wedding puja done and dusted, we are just a few days away from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s grand wedding, slated on November 14th and 15th. Expected to be the most extravagant bash of the year, the moment will see two of the brightest stars in the Indian film industry start a fresh chapter, together.
And trust me, ever since the lovebirds confirmed their wedding dates on Instagram, we have been gearing up for the moment, rather enthusiastically. But wait. We are not alone!
Among the people who have been looking forward to it, is superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who turned 53 yesterday.
We are no stranger to the fact that Shah Rukh and Deepika have a long history in the film industry. A journey that started with Deepika’s debut film, Om Shanti Om, in 2008 and continued to Chennai Express and Happy New Year, can be well defined by friendship, love and mutual respect for each other.
While speaking to media during the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Zero’, SRK was asked to share his views on Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding. King Khan being the charmer he is, won the hearts again, with his answer.
“When I came in the film industry I started acting with Sridevi ji, Madhuri (Dixit) ji. They got married. I have flowered as an actor and star because of the love these ladies have given me. The second generation got married and this is the third set who is getting married. I get really emotional when they get married.”
According to NDTV, he immediately called up Deepika and told her to be happy. Shah Rukh also expressed his desire to hug her at that moment.
If this isn’t cute, I don’t know what is.
I called Deepika and I wanted to hug her, I told her be happy. My love to Deepika and Ranveer. We will be celebrating as and when they call.”
