Serena Williams Sends Out A Message On Humility By Comforting Opponent After Defeating Her

Serena Williams is known for keeping a tenacious grip over the headlines as whatever she does set the tongues blabbering, always! The latest incident why she is trending is for her sweet gesture towards her Ukranian opponent Dayana Yastremska.

The 18-year-old tennis player locked horns with the seven-time champion Serena Williams at Australia Open in a recent match.

The world champion thrashed the teen player beating her by 6-2 6-1 in the fourth round. As the champion power-pasted her, the teen player burst into tears. The 37-year-old player, in the sweetest gesture, walked towards Dayana and consoled her while she was crying.

Serena can be seen comforting the teen in the video which has gone viral. “You’re gonna make it, don’t cry”, said Serena to the teen.

Later on, the champion while talking about the incident to BBC, said, “I thought she did really amazing. She came out swinging and to be so young, she came out ready to go. When I was young I played against so many people and everyone I faced was intimidating and not easy. You just go out and swing and do the best you can.”

Serena’s sweet gesture for her opponent is winning hearts all over the internet. To watch a world champion with such a down to earth attitude and a humble heart is, indeed, heart-warming.
