In one such case of immense fandom, a bar in Australia has named one of its most exotic beer after Saurav Ganguly’s name. By the way, naming a beer after someone signifies huge respect and love in Australia. Also, the beer named after Dada is ranked under the ‘Smooth Hoperators’ section of the beer menu. It’s called ‘Feral “Ganguly” Mango Lasi’.

A Twitter user shared a picture of the menu from an undisclosed bar where he found Ganguly beer on the menu. He wrote, “I always thought they didn’t like @SGanguly99 much here in Australia. But they instead have paid him the highest Aussie honor possible by naming a beer after him & even marking it as a smooth “operator” Must have been all those hugs to Pontin”.

Ganguly is popular as one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team. He flaunts 21 wins out of 49 test matches in his career that he lead as well.
This isn’t the first time that a dish or a drink has been named after a famous celebrity. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone shared a picture of the menu of a Dosa outlet in Texas which offered Deepika Padukone dosa a couple of months back.
Other than this, Bholi Bhali Punjaban cocktail named after Richa Chadha’s character in Fukrey and Chicken Sanju Baba named after Sanjay Dutt also found a place on the food menus of different eateries.
