Sanjay Kapoor Talking About Shanaya’s “Struggles” Makes Desis Wish They Had The Same Life

For people like us, it’s very funny when we hear celebrities talk about their struggles, especially when it comes to the newer generation. The kind of struggle that someone like Shahrukh Khan faced is very different from the kind, say Alia Bhatt, faced. While most outsiders start from ground zero, star kids are already on the 10th floor. And it gets a little annoying when they speak about their “struggles” in a tone-deaf manner.

For example, a video of Sanjay Kapoor talking about his daughter Shanaya Kapoor and her alleged “struggles” was shared on Reddit’s r/BollyBlindsNGossip. He says things are very tough for Shanaya because she got her “pictures clicked” even before she entered the industry. He calls it “unnerving”.

Shanaya’s struggle is that she had to go to “town” to watch a film with her friends, wearing whatever she liked, without getting clicked and being trolled online.

“She’s not asked anybody to click her. People are clicking her, she can’t help it. She’s avoided going to places where she felt there would be press. I think so it’s tough. People think that it’s easy. Actually, it’s the opposite, it’s tough.”

Not to shade anybody but I’m guessing when Shanaya Kapoor went to “town” to watch a movie, her ride was a chauffeur-driven luxury car and not the bus, taxi or a kaali-peeli? Or when she wanted to dress however she wanted, I’m guessing she would anyway wear something branded? Excuse me but I fail to see the struggle here.

People online rightly pointed out that if celebrities don’t want to get clicked, they can always ask the paps to not click their pictures. Like Anushka Sharma and Alia Bhatt made it very clear to the paps to not click pictures of their daughters. No one has seen Aditya Chopra for years…not a single picture by the paparazzi. Even his and Rani Mukerji’s kids, do we see pictures of them? Not really.

Now think about Akshay Kumar’s two kids, Aarav and Nitara – we don’t see them that often as well. Hrithik’s two sons, Farhan Akhtar’s daughters – do we see them often? No. I’m guessing not all star kids get constantly papped. So there must be a solution to this problem, something that Shanaya’s parents, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, haven’t considered.
