Like every other job in existence, cricket is a profession for players who are good at it. However, since it’s a sport and watched by millions, it becomes something more. And when you add the shared history of India and Pakistan to their match, it becomes a war zone.
Now, there’s no denying the fact that the diplomatic relation between India and Pakistan isn’t on stable grounds. But that doesn’t mean we should bring those emotions into a match because it has nothing to do with politics. Nevertheless, as Sania Mirza doesn’t expect people to display such maturity, she has decided to take a break.
Today, India will be taking on Pakistan in the Asia Cup. And since Sania Mirza expects the discourse around it to be highly bigoted, she has decided to leave Twitter for a few days.
Soo less than 24hrs to go for this match, safe to sign out of social media for a few days since the amount of nonsense thts gonna b said here can make a ‘regular’ person sick ,let alone a pregnant one🙄Later guys!Knock yourselves out!BUT remember-ITS ONLY A CRICKET MATCH! Toodles!

Ever since Sania married Shoaib Malik, she has been berated with questions about which country she supports or what is her take regarding India and Pakistan’s diplomatic ties. And she has dealt with those queries extremely sensibly. But now it has come to a point where people ask her just to offend her.
Now, any logical person will understand that celebrities and common people have nothing to do with what’s happening at the border. But the same can’t be expected from someone who’s hellbent to start an argument on which country is better. And since those kinds of conversation increases exponentially before a cricket match, her decision seems rational.
However, despite her humble request to treat a cricket match like a match, people resorted to the usual binary discussion.
1. Genius!
Aaj India HK sy zaleel ho kar jeeta hai, Kal Pakistan sy mazeed zaleel hokar hary ga 😊

5. The day everyone understands the meaning of ‘opinion’, I’m sure she will.
She who chooses not to say a word on her motherland is trying for being in news for mother in law's land. Epic yeah!

That said, there were some who understood Sania’s view and respected her resolution to stay off the internet for a few days.
1. That’s correct.

It’s important to understand that players and celebrities are real people and our words affect them the way it affects us. So, we should be wise about how we express ourselves in front of them. They’re not on the borders waging a war and neither are we. We’re in a neutral position and we’re here to enjoy a game of cricket. And that’s all what we should do even if it’s a match between India and Pakistan.
