With the prestigious Arjuna Award, Padma Shri, Rajeev Gandhi Khel Award to her name, tennis star, Sania Mirza is one of the most famous sports personalities around the world. She, however, chose to keep herself away from the game after playing China Open in October 2017 following her pregnancy.
Ever since fans have been waiting for Sania to return to the court. And she recently did make a comeback and how!
Sania who was once named the WTA Newcomer of the year in 2006, has moved one step ahead to win the same tournament in 2020.
Sania with her partner Nadia Kichenok had qualified to the quarterfinals of the Hobart International with their 2-6, 7-6, 10-3 win. They faced star players Oksana Kalashnikova and Miyu Kato in the court.

After sealing her comeback victory, Sania shared a picture with her son. She wrote that his and her parents’ presence at the match made the day and victory even more special for her.
