3 Boxes Of Samosas Meant For Himachal Pradesh CM Goes Missing, CID Inquiry Launched

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) is supposed to be investigating high-profile cases, but in Himachal Pradesh, they’re trying to crack the case of…missing samosas. Yes, you read that right.

In a bizarre twist, three boxes of samosas and pastries meant for Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu vanished during his visit to the CID headquarters on October 21. When they were finally tracked down, it was discovered they had been served to the security staff instead, reported The Print. The CID had launched an inquiry to solve the great snack mystery.

According to a three-page report (yes, they wrote three whole pages on this), an officer of IG rank had instructed a sub-inspector to pick up the snacks from the Radisson Hotel in Shimla. But as the snacks travelled through ranks and departments, they ended up in the hands of the mechanical transport section rather than the CM.

India Today news reporter Pooja Shaili said that she deserved an appraisal for reporting the incident with a straight face, and she is right!

Several people online were left spellbound after learning about this incident. However, samosa lovers completely agreed with this action! Here’s what some people had to say:

This might just be the CID’s most entertaining case yet!
