For lovers to finally put a ring on their relationship and get married to the love of their life is something most of them always dream of. But it wasn’t a cakewalk for this same-sex couple.
However, after fighting stereotypes, homophobia, bias, and societal judgment, Amit Shah and Aditya Madiraju had a big-fat desi wedding full of sangeet, mehendi, and pheras back in 2019.

Since they got together, both Amit (a Gujarati American from New Jersey) and Aditya (a Telugu boy from New Delhi) had dreamt of having a family, a baby who could call them daddy. And after relentlessly working towards it and patiently waiting, the couple was served with the greatest news of their lives.
Taking to their social media, the same-sex couple announced that they would soon be welcoming a baby into their lives in May 2023. Sharing the ultrasound pictures of their soon-to-be-born baby, the couple wrote:
“Never in our wildest dreams would we have thought that a casual bump in at a birthday party 6 years ago would find us our forever soulmate and give us the courage to stand against the world. And here we are getting ready to be dads!! Beyond excited to welcome our little nugget, May 2023.” (sic)

The joyous couple also did a photoshoot to let the world formally know that their little munchkin will be here soon.

They also posted a video wherein they were seen celebrating the big news with their two dogs who will become big brothers on the arrival of the little baby. Captioning it, they wrote:
“It still hasn’t fully hit us. Our prayers were answered after 2 years! Thank you all for your incredible love and support. It means so so much to us. We would not be here without you.”
