In the wake of the #MeToo movement, three women have come forth and levelled sexual harassment allegations against director Sajid Khan.

Model-actress Saloni Chopra, who worked as an assistant director with Sajid Khan, actress Rachel White and freelance journalist Karishma Upadhyay have shared their horrific ordeals of being sexually harassed by the director.

And now, in response to these allegations, Sajid Khan has issued the following statement on Twitter, annoucing his stepping down as director for the currently underway Housefull 4.

This statement follows Akshay Kumar’s cancelling of Housefull 4 shoot after the allegations against Sajid surfaced yesterday, as well as Tanushree Dutta, allegations against Nana Patekar, who is also starring in the film.
