Saif, who is currently shooting for a film in the hills of Himachal, says, “I’m lucky I have an amazing job that brings me to places like these. Not everyone is as lucky.” He added, “Usually, I have to sacrifice family time when I’m working, but this time I could be with my Kareena and Tim every evening after pack-up.”

Upon being asked about how Taimur’s pottery class pictures got trolled, Saif says the comments don’t upset him. He said, “It can get frustrating being penned in a small apartment in the big city. Knowing that the negativity comes from there, I can be forgiving.”

Responding to his previous statement about having second thoughts on releasing his autobiography, he said, “I am going into it with some trepidation because I want to do it honestly and truthfully, with depth, without hurting anyone, simply embracing my life and sharing experiences.”

Imagining son Ibrahim’s acting debut, Saif said, “Like Hrithik Roshan, he should just explode on the screen. There will be comparisons with me; he can’t avoid that, but he’s still growing, developing his own personality, so it’s best to be seen less for now.”

Talking about the 90s, he said, “Those were also more complacent times, one would just do his job and leave. But now, cinema is changing, evolving technologically in the hands of directors like Om Raut. These films challenge me as an actor.” Finally, he concludes, “I was producing films when I was not getting good offers. I am having too much fun as an actor now, but if something nice comes up we’ll go down that road again.”
