In a bid to promote hygiene and clean hands in order to fight the novel coronavirus, the World Health Organisation (WHO) initiated the #SafeHands Challenge on social media. The director-general of the World Health Organization demonstrated the steps on how to effectively wash hands and also encouraged people to share their video doing the same.
There are simple things we each must do to protect ourselves from #COVID19, including 👐 washing with 🧼 & 💦 or alcohol-based rub.

To take part in the challenge, all one has to do is make a video of you washing your hands as directed by WHO and then nominate others to take it up.
Given the importance of personal hygiene in current times, many well-known personalities like PV Sindhu, Kiren Rijiju, Hima Das hopped on to the bandwagon and attempted the challenge, reported HT.

Earlier, Kerala cops danced in sync demonstrating steps to wash hands. Most of us might have at least attempted (or thought of attempting) one of the many online challenges. Well, this is one, very important challenge that all of us should definitely take. Kudos to these personalities for spreading such a crucial social message.
