Sachin Playing Gully Cricket On The Streets Of Mumbai Will Have You Cheering For Him Again

Every Indian is familiar with the saying that cricket is like a religion in this subcontinent. And since most religions have a God, nobody else fits that mantle other than Sachin Tendulkar.

We’ve been with him during his debut. We’ve cheered maniacally when he sent the ball into the stands. We’ve stood beside him when he struggled and punched the air during his comeback. And when he finally retired, we cried because we knew that the world of cricket would never be the same without him. But now, thanks to a viral video, fans of the master blaster have a surprising chance to relive those golden days.

In a video posted by Vinod Kambli, Sachin Tendulkar can be seen taking part in some gully cricket with some fans.

Reportedly, this impromptu match took place at Dayaldas Road in Vile Parle East while he was passing through the area. So, in case you live there and saw someone like Sachin, it was actually him playing with some construction workers. However, the entire innings was restricted to a few balls after a passerby recognised Sachin and yelled out his name. Nobody blames her, we would’ve done the same.

There’s no doubt that Sachin Tendulkar has billions of fans all around the world who look up to him. However, considering how Sachin is originally from Mumbai, the level of fandom there is sky high. So, it must’ve been an absolute delight for these guys to get a chance to bowl to Sachin himself.

If you think I’m exaggerating, here’s the video:

Fans who saw the video online couldn’t believe their eyes and went ecstatic to see the legend in action again.

1. That’s poetic.

2. Nobody will disagree with that.

3. Every Indian will share that notion.

4. We all do!

5. Rematch! Rematch! Rematch!

Sachin Tendulkar is an inspiration to cricketing fans, regardless of their age, country or sex. In addition to that, his level-headed and philanthropic nature is something to look up to for those who don’t even watch cricket. So, it’s great to see the legend take us back to his humble beginnings and give us another reason to love him.
