After Azhar Ali, Here Is Another Run Out From New Zealand Which Is Pure ‘Comedy’

Pakistan’s emphatic victory over Australia in the second Test of the ongoing series was marked by several significant reasons. The massive 373-run win over the Kangaroos stands as Pakistan’s biggest one against them. We also found a new number one bowler in the making in the name of 28-year-old Mohammad Abbas, whose stunning 10-wicket-haul rattled the Aussies like a pack of cards.

However, what caught the eye the most, was a bizarre run out including Pakistani batsmen Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq. In one of the funniest incidents on the cricket field ever, Azhar played the ball through the gully region and the ball ran towards the rope. Both the Pakistani batsmen assumed it to be a four and got involved in a chat in the middle of the pitch.

In reality, the ball had stopped just before reaching the fence and the Australians pounced on the opportunity. The ball was sent back to the keeper by Mitchell Starc while Tim Paine knocked off the bells to complete the hilarious episode.

Following the incident, we are here with another whimsical case of running between the wickets, this time in New Zealand.

In a video making rounds on Twitter, we can see a batsman hitting the ball and starting his run. On reaching the crease at the other end he tries to take a second run but slips hilariously, just outside the crease.

Adding to the embarrassment, his partner who was already in the middle of the second run, also fails to keep his balance and falls to the ground. And again, the keeper knocks the bells off resulting in a loss of a wicket.

Though a ‘Gentleman’s Game’, it can be amusing sometimes. 😛 Isn’t it?
