RCB Tops IPL Points Table, But Kohli Gets Reprimanded For Hitting A Chair In Frustration

At the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai last night, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and won by 6 runs. However, when skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed in the 13th over by Jason Holder, he banged his bat on the boundary line and a chair kept in the dugout.

According to The Economic Times, he was reprimanded for breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct saying,

“Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.”

Meanwhile, RCB is currently at the top of the IPL points table registering 2 wins and 4 points, reports News18. Cricket fans celebrated this feat with jokes and memes on Twitter.
