And as her surname suggests, she has very close ties with business tycoon and the founder of the Indian multi-national IT company ‘Infosys’ N. R. Narayana Murty. Akshata Murty is the daughter of Sudha Murty and N. R. Narayana Murty and was born in Hubli, Karnataka.

The love story of Akshata and Rishi dates back to when she was pursuing her post-graduation at Stanford University. She then fell head over heels for Sunak who was a Fulbright Scholar with a first-class degree from Oxford University.

Soon they decided to tie the knot in 2009 in a simple ceremony in Bangalore. The duo now has two daughters, Anoushka and Krishna.

The businesswoman reportedly owns her brand ‘Akshata designs’ and was also featured in Vogue India magazine. Since Akshata is our girl, that makes Rishi, the new PM of the UK our damaad.

So basically, India’s son-in-law is currently seated on the highest chair of the country that once ruled over us. What an irony!
