In recent years, we have seen the trolling of actors and celebrities on social media increase by multifolds. The internet and the online world have given everyone a platform to shame, troll and criticize every little aspect of another person, without being sensitive or empathetic and face no repercussions for it. Imagine the kind of trolling Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan face on a daily basis, just because they choose to be themselves unapologetically.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, specifically, is trolled massively online because people cannot come to terms with the fact that she has aged or has probably gotten certain cosmetic treatments. Of course, Aishwarya now cannot look the way she did when she was 20. She is, after all, the mother of a teen and 50 years old!

Richa Chadha, in a recent interview, was asked about the trolling that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan faced after the Paris Fashion Week, where she walked for Loreal, and how one should deal with such kind of online hate. To this, Richa, in her typical brutal fashion, stood in support of Aish and downright said that people were jealous of her.
“Jalte hain log unse (People are jealous of her). Sabse khoobsurat mahila hai woh Hindustan ke history ki aajtak ki or mujhe lagta hai unmein bahut discipline hai or woh kaafi graceful hai (She is the most beautiful woman in India’s history so far and I feel she is very disciplined and graceful). She doesn’t talk bad about anyone. I like her a lot. People can troll her all they want, she won’t be bothered by it,” she said.

She went on to add that people shouldn’t be bothered about what any random person thinks about them on social media. Such online trolls do not have real-world responsibilities, which is probably why they have a lot of time to spare online.
“Kyun tumhein deal karna hai bhai? Chintu Chandigarh mein baith ke kya soch raha hain tumhein kya farak padega? Chintu tumhare aage aa gaya tum ausey chaprasi bhi nahi rakhoge apne ghar mein. Kya farak padta hain tumhein Chintu kya sochta hain? Chintu apni bhadaas nikal raha hai, uske peeche usko pain feel ho raha hai, uske paas naukri nahi hai, uski mummy LPG se chulhe pe aa gayi hain. Chintu kya karega? ‘Inki dress acchi nahi hai.’ Okay,” she added.
Here’s a look at a video of the interview:
That’s @RichaChadha at her brutal best about Aishwarya Rai, trolling and dropping some truth bombs in her inimitable style. What a rockstar pic.twitter.com/8sxYFNqN7w
