Man Quits Job (And Wins The Internet) By Sending ‘Sorry For Your Loss’ Card To Boss

You don’t always find the perfect job that you love and care about. It could be the work, or the people that you work with – something or the other leads you to say “I Quit”. No one looks forward to resigning, but when a job drains you, you’ve got to prioritize your mental peace. Not every awful job deserves just a simple formal resignation letter. If you happen to have a boss from hell, you could get creative like this Twitter user.

Recently, a twitter user shared an unusual and unique resignation “letter”, in the form of a condolence letter given to the boss. In her post, @bitchitshan, shares that one of her colleagues decided to quit the job in style. The fellow employee, Sam Baines, 22 reportedly opted for a condolence letter to suit this occasion. The letter says “So very sorry for your loss” on the cover, followed by “thinking of you at this difficult time”. Sassy Sam apparently sent his boss this card that served as his letter of notice.

Soon after this post surfaced online, it went viral with people reacting hilariously to the unusual resignation.

People also shared their own experiences of when they exited their ‘toxic work environments’ with a similar hint of shade.

“It’s Me”

Another user commented that she had a former coworker with the same idea, and coincidentally, even the same card, adding “It’s me” as a petty remark.

Taking It Up A Notch

The MVPs of the case, Hannah and Sam, soon noticed the viral comments and made sure that this action should not be seen as a ‘petty reaction’, but instead taken in good spirits.

Hannah, the person behind this funny Twitter-storm, reported to Insider that,

“Everyone was laughing and pretty amused with the card. It was done in good spirit and not as a petty reaction as some people think.”

Baines also told that,

“We are a really close team and have a fantastic manager, so we’re always joking around and having fun. I knew I had to do something a little more creative when giving my notice to try and get one more joke in before I left!”

But, Twitter was still ROFL at the post and could totally relate!

This tone of passive aggression isn’t just restricted to professional premises. People have also noted that this idea could be used in a very different context as well – Relationships.
