RD Burman was just 9 years old when he composed music for the first time. Nine! Can you believe it?
When I was 9 I used to think that the actors are the one who sing the songs. Burman sahab, was on the way to doing great things with an early start. He had composed the song for ‘Fantoosh‘ and knocked the film industry’s door with it.
It wasn’t just that one song though, he composed the famous champi song, ‘Sir Jo Tera Chakraye‘ as a kid and played mouth organ for SD Burman’s hit song, ‘Hai Apna Dil Toh Aawara‘. He composed music for 331 movies in his career and gave us many songs that we love listening to, long after he is gone.
