It’s the wedding season and people have been coming up with unique ideas to pop the question to their love. Like this pilot who decided to propose his girlfriend mid-air or this man who travelled all over Japan mapping a secret proposal for his girlfriend. But this actor’s surprise proposal to his girlfriend is actually right out of a fairy tale.
Matthew Pomeroy, an actor by profession had been playing the role of Alladin for four years. The 30-year-old has been acing the role alongside his 26-year-old girlfriend, Natasha Lamb, who portrays Princess Jasmine’s character, reported News18.
The couple was performing at De Montfort Hall in Leicester, England when Matthew decided to propose marriage to his long-term girlfriend. The reel-life Alladin went down his knees in public eye and proposed the reel-life Jasmine at the end of their performance, yesterday.
Before drawing the curtain to their performance, Matthew turned to the audience and said, “For the last four years you have changed my life. You are the kindest, most caring person.” Realising what was about to happen next, the audience burst out into loud cheers. He then points Natasha to her parents who were seated in the audience, awaiting to witness the moment, reported Mail Online.
Guessing that it was the moment, the eclectic Natasha jumps in joy as Matthew gets down and says, “Tash, I love you with all my heart, you’re my best friend and if you’ll let me I want to share my life with you forever.” Well, Natasha said ‘yes’ to this magical proposal.

Talking to sources she said, “I had no idea what he was going to do, it was incredible. I’m a bit overwhelmed. It’s a bit of a blur so I’m glad I’ve got the video to watch it back. It’s the best way for us. We spend every day together on stage and shall carry on for however many more years to come.”
A video was shared online in which Matthew was seen slipping the ring on to Natasha’s finger.
