IPL 2021 began last night at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and it was a spectacular showdown between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). According to NDTV Sports, MI posted a total of 159 runs on the board batting first and RCB successfully chased it with Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell executing a solid partnership of 52 runs. Towards the end, AB de Villiers and Harshal Patel helped their team win by 2 wickets.
Cricket fans lauded AB de Villiers for always coming through when his team is on shaky ground.
