Desi Twitter Thinks Ranveer Singh Should Have Been The Ambassador For Gucci & Not Alia

For the past few years, Ranveer Singh has been in his maximalist Gucci era. From head to toe he dresses up in Gucci, be it a hat, huge sunglasses, jackets or shoes. It’s hard to miss out on. On top of that, as we all know, he dresses in a very outlandish manner. He pairs bright colours with other bright colours, layers everything all at once on himself and yet somehow manages to look…good. And that’s a rare quality and very few celebrities have it.

So when Gucci announced their first Indian global ambassador and it was Alia Bhatt, I was taken aback. Because in India if there is one celebrity who was born to be Gucci’s brand ambassador, it was Ranveer Singh.

He purchases Gucci as though it is candy. I’m pretty sure that if you open his wardrobe, you’ll find every latest Gucci drop.

And people online expressed the same. They couldn’t believe that Alia Bhatt, who is more of a performer than a fashionista, was chosen as the brand ambassador for Gucci when Ranveer Singh could have done a very fine job instead. Here’s what some of them said:
