“Yaha Chori Ho Chuki Hai,” Ranchi Residents Put Up Signs For Thieves Post Multiple Thefts

Over the past 10 days, in the Pundag area of Ranchi, Jharkhand, a gang of thieves have been robbing houses while escaping the clutches of the cops. So much so that some of the homes have been robbed twice!

News18 reports that people in the area have now resorted to putting up messages for the robbers outside their homes saying, “This house has already been targeted, please don’t waste your efforts.”

Rekha Devi, a resident of Bhagwati Nagar in the locality, said, “A theft took place twice in a month in my house. The thieves took away jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh during the second theft.”

Mid-day quoted resident Manoj Kumar saying,

“On Saturday my family had gone to our in-laws’ house. We stayed there at night. On Sunday morning our neighbours informed us about a theft in our house. We reached home and found that the thieves had decamped with Rs 2 lakh cash and jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh.”

After filing complaints with the local police station, locals have now put up these signs as there is nothing left to steal. We sincerely hope that the cops are able to nab the gang and recover the stolen goods at the earliest.
