Ranbir Kapoor Says Actors Are Unhappy As They Starve Themselves To Look Glam & Cool

When someone’s continuously monitoring every step of yours, closely examining your schedule and diet, is critical of every decision you take, then life gets stressful. The pressure to look perfect and as per the beauty standards set by society takes away the happiness of living life to the fullest.

This is somewhat how celebs feel. The constant need to not show their real feelings and paint a different picture of reality does hamper their happiness.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor also thinks that celebs are under a lot of pressure to look glamorous and cool. This is why they sometimes fake their happy emotions despite feeling otherwise.

Speaking about toxic body positivity that gets the worse of celebs, he told the media, “If I was not an actor, I wouldn’t care if I put on weight or anything.”

“I think everybody should be healthy. You should eat and sleep well. But you should also enjoy life a little bit. Actors are starving. Every actor is unhappy because they don’t get the food they want to eat. So, from the outside, it all looks glamorous and cool, but on the inside, we are just pained,” Times Now quoted him saying.

Ever since the ‘body positivity’ wave took over social media, people with different body shapes, types, colours, and abilities feel more empowered and accepted. But, faking the way you feel just to be in sync with the trend takes a toll on a person’s mental health.

But again, when you’re in the public eye, you try to put a filter on to dodge the trolling and unsolicited policing by people online and a recent example of that is American singer Selena Gomez who was shamed for gaining weight because of her medication.

What do you have to say about this?
