Ever since celebrity couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have come out in the open about their relationship, they have been painting the town red with their love story. Amid this, various rumours have always been strife about their alleged wedding every now and then. But now, Ranbir has finally cleared the air in a candid interview.
Ranbir Kapoor opened up about how the coronavirus pandemic delayed his marriage plans with Alia, and that he wants to “tick mark that goal very soon”. He also talked about how he feels like an underachiever next to her.
Spilling the beans on what Alia did during the lockdown, Ranbir spoke quite highly of his ladylove, “My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is — from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn’t take any classes.”
While Alia took every class under the sun, Ranbir revealed what he did during the lockdown, “Initially, we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch two-three films every day.”
The interviewer then reminded him of an old interview they had done in the past, where Ranbir had stated that he wished to get married by the age of 32 and have kids by 34. Joking that he missed that deadline by 6 years now, the interviewer asked him about his marriage plans at the moment and whether he is closer to achieving the goal now.
To this, Ranbir revealed, “It would have already been sealed if the pandemic had not entered our lives but I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life.”
