‘RRR’ Actor Ram Charan Sends Money, Medicines To Ukrainian Who Worked As His Bodyguard

If you have been following the headlines lately, you would know that Russia and Ukraine are engaged in a war. As Russia continues to carry out military operations in Ukraine, thousands of Ukrainians suffer as they are displaced from their homes and separated from their loved ones. People from across the world are joining hands to help Ukrainians in any way they can, including Telugu actor Ram Charan.

Ram Charan, who is to be seen next in S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, sent medicines, money and other essentials to a bodyguard in Ukraine who worked for him when the actor was in the country to shoot. According to ETimes, the name of the bodyguard is Rusty who joined the Ukrainian army alongside his 80-year-old father to fight for his country.

In a video that has gone viral, Rusty expressed his gratitude towards the actor for helping him in his time of need.

“Hi, I am Rusty. I was a bodyguard for Ram Charan when he was shooting in Ukraine. Few days ago, he reached out to me and asked about my well-being. I told him I have joined the military. He assured financial help and asked me to take care of my family. It’s very kind of him,” he said.

Certain sequences from ‘RRR’ were shot in Ukraine and Bulgaria. That’s how Ram Charan met Rusty. The bodyguard said that as soon as the war broke out, Ram Charan called him to ask about his well being. Rusty had mentioned that his wife isn’t keeping well and that they need medicines. The actor made sure help reached him on time, reported Mathrubhumi.
