Home Minister Rajnath Singh Carries The Coffin Of A CRPF Jawan Martyred In Pulwama Attack

On 14th February, India was shaken up by the brutal terrorist attack in Pulwama that took the lives of around 44 CRPF jawans. And while PM Narendra Modi promised a strong response, Home Minister Rajnath was seen carrying the coffin of a martyred soldier.

According to NDTV, Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived at 2 PM today in Budgam, which’s 30 km from Srinagar, and assisted the soldiers and top police officer Dilbagh Singh to carry the coffin of a CRPF jawan. He said,

“The nation will not forget the supreme sacrifice of our brave CRPF jawans. I have paid my last respects to the martyrs of Pulwama. The sacrifice will not go in vain.”

The martyred soldiers were taken to the Srinagar airport, where a special aircraft flew them out. During this process, Rajnath Singh, Governor Satya Malik, Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba, CRPF Director General RR Bhatnagar and Dilbagh Singh stood in silence.

Netizens who saw this were humbled and saluted HM Rajnath Singh for his actions.

Reportedly, this incident on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama district is being called the worst terror attack since the start of the century in Jammu and Kashmir. So, in order to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen in the future, let’s hope our government sticks to their promise and takes appropriate action.
