Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan Bat For ‘Janta Curfew’ On Sunday, Appeals Fans To Stay Home

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Indian citizens to follow ‘Janta Curfew’, apparently, a complete national lockdown from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22, recently while addressing the nation. Accordingly, public transport, malls, restaurants, markets, etc will remain closed on Sunday in a bid to encourage people to practice social-distancing amid coronavirus outbreak.

Many Bollywood celebs and cricketers have come forward in support of the PM and urged their fans to cooperate during the tough times by self-isolating themselves. Superstar Rajinikanth also shared a video message for his fans appealing them to follow ‘Janta Curfew’ on Sunday.

“With the Prime Minister calling for Janata curfew on March 22nd, India prepares to avoid crucial Stage 3 community transmission of Coronavirus in the country,” he said in the video, reports IE.

 

Shah Rukh Khan too shared a video for his fans and urged them to practice social-distancing to keep a check on the spread of coronavirus.

Other celebrities like Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor too shared messages supporting ‘Janta Curfew’ on social media.
