India’s healthcare system is in a state of collapse as we struggle to power through the second wave of Covid. Support has poured in from several nations that sent us oxygen concentrators and medical supplies. Nevertheless, we’ve suffered the loss of many citizens due to coronavirus. Actor and YouTuber Rahul Vohra’s untimely demise on Sunday at a hospital in Delhi was yet another blow.
Theatre director-playwright Arvind Gaur stated that Vohra passed away due to COVID-19 complications. Rahul who was just 35, had mentioned his diagnosis and made a desperate appeal for help on social media tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
He was moved from Rajeev Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, Tahirpur to Ayushman Hospital, Dwarka, on Saturday evening. Rahul’s wife, Jyoti Tiwari shared a video of him from the hospital where he was being treated.

In the video, Rahul who was wearing an oxygen mask said, “Iski bohot keemat hai aaj ke time pe. Bina iske mareez na chhatpata jaata hai. Kuch nahi aata isme, kuch bhi nahi aa raha”
Pointing out that the healthcare workers were overburdened, he added that when he would call for assistance, they would say they’ll return in a minute, and disappear. The actor sadly passed away soon after and his wife blamed medical negligence for his demise.
Celebs such as Kishwer Merchant and Ashish Chanchlani mourned his death on social media along with several other concerned citizens.
