For the last few months, India has experienced drops in the value of the rupee, massive increases in fuel prices and many more problems around the country. And although we’ve complained about the Government’s workings in our houses, nothing substantial was being done. However, the Opposition changed that by pulling out a No Confidence Motion and calling the NDA Government to answer their questions.
Now, you’ve seen the kind of antics Rahul Gandhi can pull when he opens his mouth. You’ve also seen the meme value that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds. So, it was obvious when the two of them would be under the same roof, there would be drama. And to be honest, they didn’t disappoint.
According to India Today, Rahul Gandhi tore into the opposition with a slew of questions. However, his prime target was none other than Narendra Modi. He said,
“I can see the PM is smiling. But there is a touch of nervousness. Now he can’t look into my eyes because he has not spoken the truth.”
Although some of his statements caused a minor adjournment, Rahul resumed his speech to shut down all those who call him Pappu.
“Main aapke liye Pappu ho sakta hun, par phir bhi mere mann main aapke liye bilkul gussa nahi.”
Baas kar pagle, abb rulaega kya?
Now, if you think Rahul Gandhi was done after saying all that, you’re wrong. Because right after concluding his speech, he went to Narendra Modi and hugged him!
Yes, that’s right! Rahul walked all the way from his seat, strode up to Modi and just hugged him. Yes, it was awkward. Yes, it was probably a breach of Parliamentary conduct. But was it a moment that hasn’t happened in the history of Lok Sabha meetings on a No Confidence Motion? Hell yes!

Rahul’s theatrics didn’t end there because after he returned to his seat, the cameras caught him winking as well.

No Netflix, HBO, FX, Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar movies and TV shows can compete with the level of drama that happened today in the Parliament. So, what are your thoughts on the hug that’s breaking the internet? Yay or nay?
