Wake Up To 360° Views Of The Great Barrier Reef As Australia’s Underwater Hotel Opens Next Year!

Everyone loves travelling to different lands and exploring the various sights, sounds and experiences they have to offer. But if that doesn’t get your adrenaline pumping or satiate your adventurous spirit, there are other unique destinations you can consider. The Internation Space Station, for example, will be inviting tourists soon. Prefer to stay on Earth? How about attractions under the sea like Norway’s underwater restaurant or Bahrain’s underwater theme park?

Pretty soon you can also stay at an underwater hotel in the Great Barrier Reef! Imagine waking up to glimpses of stunning corals because the rooms will have 360° views of this gorgeousness!

According to 9 News Australia, the 36-metre hotel will have 3 levels and will be built on the sea bed near Lady Musgrave Island, Queensland. The bottom level will be completely underwater and will accommodate 24 guests. Apart from the reef, other activities at the hotel include an underwater observatory with UV lighting, snorkelling, diving and glass bottom boat tours.

Wondering how expensive it will be? An all-inclusive stay for 2 days and 1 night will cost $550 (Rs. 38,000 approximately).

Lady Musgrave Experience managing director Brett Lakey says,

“This development will ensure the southern area of the Great Barrier Reef is an attractive gateway for visitors, providing some of the best tourism experiences on the Reef.”

Even cooler is the fact that this upcoming project will utilize recyclable materials and solar energy.
