Python Eats A Huge Lizard While Hanging Upside Down From Roof Of A Retirement Village

An encounter with a Python can be terrifying as the venomous snake has the ability to kill you with a bite. One of the largest living snakes in this world, Python’s deadly grip is equal to being crushed by a bulldozer. It sounds scary, doesn’t it?

Well, an enormous carpet python was recently snapped devouring a huge lizard in Australia. The snake was pictured hanging from the roof of a home in a retirement village as it consumed its meal, reports the Daily Mail. The python had glided into the Churches of Christ Care Sanctuary Park Retirement Village in Nambour, Queensland.

Have a look at the terrifying image:

The photo, which shows half of the lizard hanging from the non-venomous snake’s mouth, was clicked by a community worker at the village, reports NDTV.

“Residents got quite the show last week when this carpet python landed on their doorstep,” the retirement village posted on Facebook. “With the drought, many native animals from the neighboring national park are looking for water and food – this reptile found both!” they added.

The residents often see a variety of native fauna as the village backs onto a national park, reports 9 News. Carpet pythons are often spotted in Queensland during the breeding season as the non-poisonous reptile hides out in roofs in search of food such as mammals and birds.

The dramatic image surely gave us goosebumps, how about you?
