From the mobile screens in our hands to the big billboards on the streets, we are flooded with advertisements everywhere. While many brands try to lure people with discounts and sales, others become the talk of the town either through their creativity or absurdity.
Recently, a billboard advertisement in Pune grabbed eyeballs by mentioning +0.25 BHK flats and asking people to become ‘NeoCosmopolitan’. We all have heard of 2, 3, 4 BHK, but +0.25?
What size is a 0.25 BHK home? And who is a NeoCosmopolitan? #Pune #Realty #Signage #Advertising pic.twitter.com/MYNZipeNBw

People were also left confused by the combined term ‘NeoCosmopolitan’ where ‘Neo’ means new and ‘Cosmopolitan’ means “composed of elements from all or many parts of the world” as per Merriam-Webster.
While some tried to decipher the meaning of the ad, others chose to crack hilarious jokes on it.
1. Arre bhai kehna kya chahte ho?
Pune is the epicentre of ultra creative and vocabulary challenged housing billboards.

Just to point out – it’s +0.25. Not that it gets self-explanatory by that. 🙂

It’s PLUS .25 in other words it’s like a pack of potato chips but you get 25% extra

I like the advertiser. Logically we know that this doesn’t make any difference. But for the probable customer, this becomes a thing to remember. As anybody reading it first try to decode the words, and hence easy for seller to get into mind of buyer.
