Pune Doctor Suffered A Heart Attack, Saved By The Dog He Rescued 16 Years Ago

If someone asks me to name a synonym for the ‘loyalty’, I would not hesitate to answer with the word ‘dog’. These four-legged canines are probably the only creatures in the world, who love you unconditionally, devoting themselves to you, for the entirety of their lives.

And Ramesh Sancheti, a Pune-based doctor, got a first-hand example of the same.

According to the Pune Mirror, the incident roots back to 16 years ago, when Sancheti came across a tiny puppy in his housing society of Swargate. The 65-year-old man took the responsibility of taking care of the pup along with Amit Shah, his neighbor who runs an NGO for differently-abled dogs ever since.

The little dog was named Brownie by Sancheti and Shah together.

And on Wednesday, Brownie returned the favor to Sancheti with an incredible act of adherence. The general practitioner was alone at home with Brownie when he suffered a partial paralytic attack, followed by a minor cardiac arrest. On noticing her owner’s critical situation, Brownie took matters into her own hands. In a bid to notify the people outside, he started crying softly and repeatedly placed her front leg on the bedroom window.

She even refused to eat her lunch.

Her restless and uneasy behavior grabbed the attention of Shah, who lived on the first floor of the same building. Shah broke down the door lock and rushed Sancheti to the hospital. Speaking of the same, Shah said,

“She kept raising up with difficulty and placing her front legs on the window, looking inside. Initially, I was quite confused, but when I went nearer, a gap in the window revealed to me that the doctor had collapsed on the floor.”

During the time of the collapse, Sancheti’s wife was in Mumbai, his son was in Bavdhan and his daughter was in the US. It is because of Brownie that Sancheti escaped a situation which could have turned fatal.
