PUMA’s Latest Cricket Anthem Feat. Virat Kohli & Divine Has Got To Be In Your Playlist!

The inspiration for the anthem came straight from Virat Kohli’s brilliant century scored in India vs Australia 2nd test match in Perth last year. In a series marked by constant banter from the home team and crowd, upon scoring a century, Virat took off his helmet, pointed at his bat, and moved his hand in a blabber gesture saying, “I let my bat do the talking”.

Hence, to silence critiques, PUMA has taken our love for cricket and music, and turned it into a badass anthem for die-hard fans to sing together and show their support this cricket season, the Virat-way.

Virat has over time realistically shown how negative energy and criticism can be hit back with one’s performance. He has channelled the same to the entire team who are now much more dedicated not only to their game but their entire being as sportsmen. From focusing on their overall strength, conditioning, and fitness, it’s safe to say that the team is much fitter than it was a decade back. The song is composed by the real ‘gully boy’ Divine, who collaborated with PUMA back in 2017 in the anthem Suede Gully which got us all hooked to its beats. What’s better? The entire anthem is choreographed by the recent ‘World of Dance’ winners Kings United who literally shocked the world with their performance! Alongside them, the anthem features other PUMA ambassadors too, led by none other than Olympic gold medalist and six-time world champion – Mary Kom. After all, how many people know how to SOCK THEM better than Mary Kom? Other assets featured are Indian cricketer Sushma Verma, Rahul Bheke, and Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem.
