After watching umpteen Hollywood movies is is fair to say that prom is a big deal. The whole boy-meets-girl, musters the courage to ask her out, they blush as they make eye contact during the dance and it all ends in a final kiss. But that’s just the movies, right?
Sorry to burst your bubble, but real life fairy tale endings do still exist and that perfect night for a budding love story still happens. And magical just doesn’t describe it well enough.
This high school student wanted to make her prom night special and so she surprised her date by walking all by herself for the first time in ten months.

Twitter user @aeonianlife made that once in a lifetime night even more spectacular by practicing for this incredible moment. Although we are not sure what exactly happened to her, her zeal is infectious!
She shared a video of herself walking towards her date, something she wasn’t able to do in ten long months. But for me, it was the guy’s reaction that moved me to tears.

The heartwarming moment shows that the young man almost misses that she’s walking again and then a split second later he realises, strides towards her, and envelops her in a tender hug.

She shared her story and said that she wasn’t born like this but tragedy befell her almost a year ago. Through all that she kept her faith and that’s what got her through this phase.
