Bengaluru Prof Pens Heartfelt Note Appreciating Students Taking Online Classes In Adverse Situations

All educational institutes have been forced to take classes online during the pandemic but there are some students (especially in rural India) who don’t have smartphones or face network issues. Many reports have surfaced where students had to study outdoors (on the roof and even on a mountain) as that was the only place with good internet connectivity.

In a recent Twitter thread, Economics professor Arjun Jayadev highlighted another such incident where a pupil had to study under an umbrella amidst heavy rainfall in Karnataka. He appreciated the efforts of all such students and their commitment to learning. He added that the teachers will do everything they can to make the online trimester an enriching experience.

People online lauded the teacher for the heartfelt note as well as the promise to put in equal effort and help students as best they can.

We hope the time comes soon when pupils can once again learn from such teachers in person.
