Reddit users were recently irked when an advertisement claiming that their learning model would make kids ‘prodigy babies’ before they turn 2, surfaced online.

In the video ad, a Stanford University graduate is seen claiming that he can help ‘awaken a baby’s genius’ at the early age of two through his company’s ‘Prodigy Framework Program’. Apparently, a kid can learn to crawl at 3 months, walk at 6 months, and even read by the time he is 2-years-old.
According to the educational consultant, every baby is born a genius. But they start losing their abilities before age two because of a scientific process called ‘Synaptic Pruning’. Therefore, in order to prevent kids from losing their in-born talents and retaining their genius abilities, he came up with a system called ‘The Prodigy Baby System’.
Apparently, a lot of young parents enquired to enroll their kids, as young as two-months-old, in the program.
People online discussed how business models like these lure young parents and are robbing kids of their innocent childhood.
