Be it her commendable body of work till date or her personality that makes her ‘people’s favourite’ everywhere she goes, PC is inching milestones and leaping many as we speak.

Needless to say, she is ruling her roost after making it to the Top 10 in Forbes India Celebrity List 2017 with a net worth of $10 million. And honestly, we can’t think of someone more deserving. But blame it on sexist double standards or just the way our regressive society functions, some seemingly get shocked at the kind of enumeration Priyanka unapologetically demands.

If you think I’m exaggerating, have a look at this gem of a headline that a website ran about how ‘shocking’ Priyanka’s 5-minute performance fee was for an award show!

Nothing changes the fact that we still live in a society where A-list actresses are still treated as second-class seats in matters of their fraternity. An industry where heroines are such integral part of movie and making.

“It was funny because there are so many people who talk about the kind of numbers that I apparently get for certain minutes of my time.

The boys are never asked this question. Their zeroes are ridiculous. Have you even seen the zeroes that they get on their cheques? We should be celebrating that at least there’s one girl who has gone out there.”

Not only that.

She even pointed out that it is not only sad that she is being nitpicked on how much she should/could earn but it is also worth-noticing that she is the only woman in the rankings when there are so many actresses of the same due out there.

Talking about the crippling gender pay-gap in the industry, she said,
