#NickYanka Wedding: It Was Ladkiwale v/s Ladkewale At Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas’ Sangeet!

Hello FOMO, my old friend. We meet again, as we met last month during the DeepVeer wedding. And now, it’s the #NickYanka wedding. But people blaming DeepVeer or Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas for wanting to keep the most special days of their life private should understand that it’s perfectly normal choice. How pissed off would you be if your first few wedding pictures were grainy, awkward angles?

Anyhoo, guys, it has begun! Umaid Bhawan Palace has been LIT AF for NickYanka’s sangeet, which happened last night.

We recently saw what the wedding guests received as favours for the wedding, including an Oh Shit Kit!

And if you see any photos or videos of the palace, or some sit-down dinner, etc… like this one below…

Or even this one…

Then you ought to know that these were from a previous wedding and NOT NICKYANKA’S.

No photos have come out, but rest assured, official photography of this grand wedding is in very able hands!

Hindustan Times also reports that Joseph Radhik, who shot the Virushka wedding has been roped in to work on this wedding as well. He shared the following on his Instagram stories.

Guess who has also reached the wedding venue? The Ambani fam!

Nita and Mukesh Ambani with daughter Isha Ambani, son Anant Ambani and Anant’s girlfriend Radhika Merchant were spotted, dressed in their traditional finery, at Jodhpur airport.

The remaining Jonas fam, Mama and Papa Jonas, Kevin and Danielle Jonas and even the young Franklin Jonas arrived yesterday evening in time for the sangeet.

Priyanka’s Quantico co-star Yasmine Al Massri and Superwoman Lilly Singh have arrived as well. And so have cousin Parineeti Chopra, Anusha Dandekar and Karan Kundra, Arpita Khan Sharma and son Ahil, choreographer Ganesh Hegde, designers Sandeep Khosla and Sabyasachi Mukerjee and makeup artist Mickey Contractor.

E! further reported that the guests were welcomed with a flower-lined path, with traditional dancers and dholis playing.

Nick and Priyanka’s mothers received them and Priyanka made her grand entrance in a “a peach coloured, off the shoulder pant suit.”

If you’re wondering where The Rock, Dwayne Johnson is, then get in line! So are we!

While Nick and the groom’s side of the family indulged in a game of cricket on the palace lawn, PeeCee and the Chopra fam had the Mehendi ceremony.

And now for some sangeet deets! No photos, but there’s always a ‘source’ to spill some tea!

According to what a source told E!, the theme for the sangeet was ladkiwale v/s ladkewala, Chopras v/s Jonas!

There were performances by the groom’s brothers, Joe and Kevin Jonas as well as bride’s sister Parineeti Chopra and members of the Chopra family. It was further reported that both the ‘teams’ recreated “their own version of how PeeCee and Nick met” in dance form!

The performances were well-rehearsed (Ganesh Hegde reportedly choreographed them) and the competition was tough! However, there’s no word out on who won yet!

DNA has further reported that our desi girl turned bride PeeCee, dressed in a pink ensemble with kundan-diamond jewellery, dedicated her dance performance to Nick!

And when Nick returned the favour with his performance, she grew emotional.

The sangeet seems to have lasted for about four hours with performances by cousin Parineeti Chopra on Bollywood, Punjabi and Rajasthani songs. Other Indian and international artists, including singer Manasi Scott reportedly performed as well. The music was a mix of Indian and American so everyone could enjoy it.

Amongst other details reported about the wedding decor, vintage cars seem to have been lined up to ferry the guests around.

Furthermore, there was a designer pop-up setup with ethnic outfits for anyone who wanted to pick something out. There was even a wishing well, where the guests could drop in their wishes for the couple!

The sangeet was followed by dinner, where the guests dined with “antique silver cutlery” that was once used by the royal family of Jodhpur.

If the start was this grand, can you imagine what the wedding will be like? The couple is slated to wed in a Hindu and a Christian ceremony on December 2, followed by two receptions.
